Our example uses the Cyborg X stick so the window shows the Cyborg X and its available buttons and axes. You can also launch the Profiler by clicking StartAll Programs Profile Editor. Were going to create a profile first so click on the Profile Editor command. When you hold your mouse cursor over the small icon a pop-up tooltip will tell you to which controller the icon refers. If you have more than one Saitek controller plugged in at the same time, you will have a separate icon for each controller. The Profiler icon could be a joystick, wheel, gamepad etc depending on which controller is plugged in. If you havent, install the SST software from the Saitek website or installation disc and then plug the USB cable of your controller into one of your computers free USB ports. If the game you want to play does not appear in the profile list, or you want to make amendments and even start one from scratch, then the following information will get you on your way. Press a button on your controller and it will highlight the corresponding button cell and show you what that button does in the game. Left click the profile that you want to activate. If you are using XP, this is in the Shared Documents folder, Vista users will find theirs in Public Documents.Īll profiles in your profile folder will be displayed in this menu (e.g CrysisALLPADS). These need to be downloaded to your Saitek SD6 Profile folder. Your controller will require a profile for each game you want play. This set of assignments can then be saved as a document, called a profile. SST therefore lets you play these games using your Saitek controller. These games only understand key presses, mouse movements and mouse clicks. It also allows you to manually configure the controllers buttons and axes from within the game setup menu (see game manual for how to configure controllers).
